Beers: American Craft Brews

16 taps, all of which are reserved for American craft brews, including many locals such as [micros.html#od Dominion], [micros.html#potomac Potomac], [brewpubs.html#bbc DeGroen's], and [micros.html#wg Wild Goose]. They now have Tuppers as well.
A beer engine downstairs currently serves Rickenbacker Real Ale from [micros.html#od Dominion].
One beer available in bottle: Miller Light. (Also Sharp's Non-Alchoholic)
No imports.

Food: American and Continental Pub Fare

Appetizers include expected fare such as Nachos and Wings, as well as more interesting items such as Hummus, Jalapeno Poppers, and Calamari.
Entrees range from burgers and sandwiches to seafood, pasta, and steak dishes.
Desserts are made fresh every day (including their own homemade ice cream) and are quite a treat!

Pints (20 oz): $3.75 ($2.00 during happy hour).
Pitchers: $12.00
Bottled (12 oz): $3.25
Appetizers are in the $4.00 to $6.00 range.
Entrees range from $5.00 for sandwiches to $16.00 for some steak and seafood dishes.

Atmosphere

The upstairs is a small, British-pub style atmosphere with both smoking and non-smoking bars and a dartboard.
The downstairs is a jazz and blues club with a very long bar and live entertainment on Wednesday through Saturday nights. There is no non-smoking section downstairs, although it is not at all "smoky".
Very relaxed, comfortable, and friendly.

The author's favorite pub!
Manassas is the Westernmost suburb of DC, and can be quite a haul from downtown during week-day evening rush hour.

Hero's also has a "Draught Club". Each time you go in, present them with your "Draught Card". When you have tried all 16 beers, you get to sign their ceiling and get discounts on t-shirts and special events. You will also get on their mailing list and get advance notice of their beer dinners and other events.
Old Dominion Brewing Company's Victory Amber Lager, available at many pubs and restaurants in the area, was originally made for Hero's. It is the house beer and one of the few that they never rotate off (others include Dominion Stout and Anchor Wheat).
