N4ASX - Rick - checked in to remind of the Oct 28 OCT Marine Corps Marathon
- www.marinemarathon.com.  Currently have 60 volunteers and need another 60
volunteers.  Big event.  Takes all day.  Start at 5:30 am goes to 5:30pm
Ham provides good support - and have since 1976 when the event started. 
Signup online http://www.ncacdc.com -- organizers will make radio
assignment in a couple days.  Desperately looking for more operators.  Good
time and a free lunch plus a t-shirt.  Very public activity for Ham radio.

WA4FXX - Jack - Thanks to Rick for the reminder on the MCM.  MCM is good
cause, check web and sign up.  Looking forward to good meeting in couple
weeks and thinking about CQWW RTTY contest. 

KO4ALA - Thanks for mentioning program need to talk to Dennis - Will take
offline.

Ham Fest. Will be running the MCM 10k and volunteered for tinytrak carrying 
during the event.

KI4DHW - Chuck - Sept is national preparedness month - Reminder to check out
gear.  Red Cross is looking for volunteers for airport drill on Sept 15.

KD4PDJ - Prentiss - Just listening in. Will be traveling to west coast for 
MCM, regrets on that. Will be back in Dec.
